Summary
Libyan Desert Glass is a pale yellow natural glass scattered across the Great Sand Sea of Egypt's Western Desert, formed about 29 million years ago when a meteorite impact melted the desert sand. The ancient Egyptians knew it well: the scarab at the center of one of Tutankhamun's pectorals is carved from it. In crystal tradition it is associated with all the chakras, especially the Solar Plexus and Sacral, and it provides access to the Akashic Records and connection to Egyptian entities, strength of will and the playful courage to be seen.
Keywords

Fun facts
For a century no one could agree whether the glass came from an impact or an airburst. In 2019 grains of the mineral reidite were found inside it, and reidite forms only under the shock of a meteorite strike, which settled the question.
Care and cleansing
Libyan Desert Glass is glass (Mohs about 5.5 to 6), so keep it from knocks and store it apart from harder stones. Rinse briefly and dry with a soft cloth. Cleanse with water, smoke, sound or moonlight.
