Fun facts
Citrine has been called the 'merchant's stone' since ancient times. Merchants carried it to attract wealth, and businesses historically kept it near the cash register for the same reason. The ancient Egyptians believed citrine got its golden color from the Sun God Ra, while Scottish Highlanders were fashioning it into the handles of daggers and clan brooches long before it became a crystal shop staple. The twist: most commercial citrine on the market today is actually heat-treated amethyst, meaning one of the most popular abundance stones is technically a purple crystal in disguise.
